The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) recently recognized the Philippine Statistics Authority-National Statistical Coordination Board in the Cordillera Administrative Region (PSA NSCB-CAR) as one of its two outstanding stakeholders in CAR for the year 2014. The PSA NSCB-CAR was chosen outstanding partner as source of information for the Report on Regional Economic Developments. This is the second time that the office has received such award from the BSP.
 
The award recognizes institutions and agencies for consistently providing vital information to the BSP that are necessary in the annual publication of the Report on Regional Economic Developments in the Philippines (REDP).
 

 

Mr. Benjamin Y. Navarro, Regional Head of PSA NSCB-CAR, and his staff received the trophy of recognition from BSP Monetary Board Member Felipe M. Medalla, Assistant Governor Ma. Cyd N. Tuaño-Amador and Acting Director Tomas J. Cariño, Jr. of the La Union Regional Office (LURO) during the 2014 Awards Ceremony and Appreciation Lunch for Region I and CAR held on August 5, 2014 at the Convention Hall, BSP-LURO in San Fernando City.

The criteria for the selection of the awardee for the Source of Information Category were the following: track record of cooperation (25%), relevance of responses (25%), completeness (25%), and timeliness of data provision (25%). This year’s other awardee in CAR was Texas Instruments (Philippines) Inc. for Outstanding Respondent for Inter-Company Accounts.

During this annual event, BSP extends formal recognition and appreciation of the significant support provided by its partners and stakeholders.
