Civil Registration

A total of 4,069 deaths were registered in the Cordillera Administrative Region during the 4th quarter of 2021. The figure indicated an increase of 45.24 percent death occurrence from the 2020 figure of 2,228. The number of registered live births in the Cordillera Administrative Region for the 4th quarter 2021 recorded a total of 8,569, an increase of 7.1 percent compared to the same quarter last year. Among the Provinces, Benguet recorded the highest occurence of registered live births in the 4th quarter 2021 with 1,630, followed by Kalinga with 1,504, Abra at 1,075 and Apayao with 1,005 registered live births. There were 2,111 registered marriages for the 4th quarter of 2021 showing an increase of 39 percent from the same quarter of last year’s figure of 1,274. The Province of Benguet excluding Baguio City has the most number of registered marriages, accounting for 31 out of every 100 marriages in the Region Marriage Statistics Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) 4th Quarter 2021
