The CPI of the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) in June 2020 was 121.0. This washigher by 3.2 index points from the 117.8 CPI of June 2019 using 2012 as base year. In general, the CPI increased reflecting the rise in the average prices of goods and services in all the six provinces of CAR. The 2018 National Migration Survey (NMS 2018) is the first nationwide survey on migration in the Philippines. It aims to provide information on the mobility of the Philippine population in order to assist policymakers and program managers in designing and evaluating strategies for improving services for, and assistance provided to, Filipinos going abroad or moving within the country. Trade establishments in the region with total employment 20 and over went up to 57 establishments in 2017 from 52 establishments in 2016. This was an increment of 9.6 percent from a year ago with few establishments downgrading to less employment size. Extreme Events and Disasters is one of the six components of the United Nations Framework for the Development of Environment Statistics (FDES) 2013. This framework was adopted in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) to come up with CAR Regional Compendium of Environment Statistics. Component 4 has two subcomponents namely, Natural Extreme Events and Disasters and Technological Disasters. As of 1 July 2015, the estimated total population in the Cordillera region was 1,720,134. This was composed of 878,386 males (51.1 percent) and 841,748 females (48.9 percent).The sex ratio in the region was 104 males per 100 females. This means that CAR has more men than women. In 2018, families in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) had an average annual family income of 354 thousand pesos. In comparison, the annual expenditure for the same year was 230 thousand pesos on average. These figures meant an average annual saving of 124 thousand pesos per family. The publication highlights the 2019 activities and outputs of PSA-RSSO-CAR under statistical operations, statistical planning and coordination, statistical frameworks and indicators system, civil registration, financial, administrative and human resource management, information dissemination and partnership and linkages. It also features the awards and recognitions received by PSA-RSSO-CAR
2019 RSET
The RSET, a compendium of local level statistics, presents annual time series data on various sectors of the region and its component provinces, cities, and municipalities. It also contains data that are disaggregated in different dimensions and includes a glossary of terms of official concepts and definitions for statistical purposes.
Women and Men in CAR 2019
The 2019 Statistical Handbook on Women and Men in CAR presents the latest available gender statistics on the different priority sectors in the region through tables and charts with brief analyses. Data for provinces and key cities are also provided whenever possible. Through this publication, the PSA Regional Statistical Services Office-Cordillera Administrative Region (RSSO-CAR) hopes to contribute to the government’s efforts in furthering gender mainstreaming and in fulfilling the various international gender-related commitments of our country.
